A warm family home in a stunning setting that is perfect for families with teenagers, giving them space to socialise and still mix happily with their parents. The main bedrooms are upstairs on the upper entrance level, and the entertaining and living area is downstairs on the pool deck level.
Expansive views are enjoyed from all the bedrooms and the deck virtually 'floats' off into the horizon with unbelievable views. The sparkling blue pool is larger than most but because it stretches out towards the sea, there's ample space on the deck for alfresco lunches with friends under the shaded patio area while the kids swim and relax on the loungers. The black billiard table in the family entertaining area, next to the informal television lounge and fully equipped bar, is great to keep kids entertained while adults enjoy elegant cocktails on balmy summer evenings outdoors. The television lounge area flows directly outdoors onto the pool deck.
This level is partially open plan, and a formal lounge in the centre at the foot of the stairs divides the family entertaining area from the rest of the space, leading to the eight-seater dining room table and the kitchen beyond. The kitchen also has an eat-in breakfast nook and utility room leading off it.
Upstairs, the four bedrooms all have views of the sea or mountains, or both, and an additional downstairs bedroom is also sea-facing. Each of them have ample storage and en-suite bathrooms, two with baths. Air conditioning is fitted in all the sea-facing bedrooms upstairs. A home office leads off this bedroom landing and the fourth bedroom with mountain views has a mini kitchen for added convenience.
There is also a separate studio with its own entrance on this upper level. It's fully self-contained with wraparound views of Lion's Head and the sea. It sleeps two with space for an additional two children, if needed. It's a large, airy xx sq. m studio with lofty, exposed-beam ceilings, a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a shower.
The main house sleeps eight adults, the studio sleeps two (or four with children) and the fifth bedroom, below the pool deck level, sleeps a further two adults.
Ample parking for at least six cars in the driveway plus two garages and one off-street parking on Geneva Drive, makes this an ideal villa for larger families to share. It's a five-minute drive downhill to the popular Camps Bay beach below.
There's good reason why this villa is also a popular choice with film crews and photographers: the balustrade surrounding the wooden deck is removable, giving the house an uninterrupted bird's-eye view of the coastline and beaches below with Lion's Head to one side.
