It is also 'democratic' - given that the bedrooms are all equally spacious, and feel secluded from one another (one, 'donga', is an entirely separate dwelling) it is ideal for a group of friends, or a family traveling with older children (the multi-level design, open staircases and unfenced pool, stream and pond make this unsuitable for toddlers). With numerous private decks set in the indigenous garden, a heated rim-flow pool that appears to tumble into a gurgling mountain stream, this is the ultimate retreat, where you can enjoy quiet reflection with birdsong, minutes from the city's throbbing nightlife and vibrant shopping scene.
BEDROOMS
There are 4 en-suite bedrooms, all featuring glass walls with mountain or garden views. Bedroom one is reached via a bridge from the entrance level, and has a separate walk-in cupboard area; below is bedroom two, with its own lounge area. Bedroom three is in a separate wing, but together these share the small second dining room and kitchen. Bedroom 4, 'Donga', is reached via a charming stone pathway that follows the stream through the garden to a separate unit. The deck here has a comfortable couch that looks back on the stream and house. All the king-size extra-length beds are dressed in crisp white linen. Rooms all feature satellite TV with DVD player, safe and A/C. Bathrooms feature marble and polished concrete surfaces.
DINING ROOM
Surrounded by stunning views, with floor to ceiling glass windows and sliding timber shutters to ward of the sun or ensure total privacy, CLS153 is compact with an open-plan living area serving as the main dining room (10/12-seater table) and lounge with fireplace.
KITCHEN
The semi-open-plan kitchen is well equipped (there's even a cappuccino machine), and features more floor-to-ceiling views with sun-splashed modern counters. Linked by a bridge to the second bedroom, stairs lead down to another, smaller dining room and kitchenette with flow out to a large deck furnished with deep comfortable daybeds and loungers, alongside the rim-flow pool.
